This program is designed to ensure that new parents receive information, education, referrals, and on going support during this potentially stressful time. Partners in this effort include Trinity County Health & Human Services, and the Public Health Department.
There is absolutely no charge for this service. Our goal is to lend support to you and your family.
How it Works
Parents will be visited by one of Human Response Network's trained in-home workers. Parents will be provided with a New Baby Bags full of information on car seats, childcare, home-visiting program, other new parent services and provide additional items such as electric outlet covers, magnets, a "SMACK" T-shirt, blanket, and a personalized photo key chain.
With permission, a follow-up visit will take place in your home a week later. This gives you an opportunity to ask additional questions and provides support for your family during this period of adjustment. All families will receive follow-up contact at 3, 6, and 12 months.
Please call us at 623-2024 or 1-800-358-5251 to set up a visit at your home or in our office.
The Welcome Baby Program is funded the Trinity County Children & Families First Commission.
